CLASS 09 – UNIT 05 ENGLISH -DAFFODILS (SUMMARY AND PHARAPHRAZING )
SUMMARY
William Wordsworth compared in self to a floating cloud passing our hills and valleys. He was on a stroke through the countryside and he suddenly came across countless Golden daffodils. These daffodils were beside a lake under trees .The flowing breeze made the daffodils letter and its seemed as if they were dancing. The daffodils appeared to be as continuous as the twinkling stars only Milkly way. They arranged in a seemingly unending line along the bank of adjacent bay. To the poet, it seemed as if ten thousand daffodils bobbing in the gentle breeze and he imagined them to be engaged in a lively dance. There were waves on the surface of lake but these waves of water were no match for the waves of daffodils rippling in the breeze. The poet feltnothing but happiness in that kind of cheerful company . Thhe scene was so enthralling that his though got stuck there .When he moved on , the beauty accompained his soul forever .

After that whatever the poet feel sad or in solitude, the site of daffodils flashes in a mind .His heart fills with joy and happiness and it seems to him as if this heart is dancing with the daffodils.This site thus has become a permanent source of pleasure for him .As John Keats wrote “a thing of beauty is a joy forever “
it’s loveliness increases, it will never pass into nothingness .

This stanza has been taken from the poem “daffodils “written by William Wordsworth. In this poem , the poet describe his one of the experience is of life about the nature .Once he was wandering aimlessly like a cloud which floats over the valleys and mountains. When the poet was walking around ,he saw a crowd of golden daffodils .They were inviting the poet to enjoy their company. These flowers were grown under the trees along the margin of the lake. These flower were fluttering like wings of the birds they were creating a beautiful and fascinating scene over there .

This stanza has been taken from William Wordsworth .In this stanza ,the poet explains the scene of Daffodils . He says , the daffodils were spread in a long line looking like a star which shine and twinkle in the sky and make Milky way . These flowers unlimited in number .They were dancing and moving their heads in cool breeze .The poet compares the daffodils with stars in the sky due to their large number and shinning .

This stanza has been taken from poem William Wordsworth .In this poem ,the poet explains the fascinating dance of flowers and his own happiness .He says that the daffodils and waves both were dancing side by side but daffodils seemed winner in this competition of dance . It is human nature to feel happiness in a fascinating company , likewise ,the poet was absorbed in the scene and he got inexpressible happiness .

This stanza has been taken from poem daffodils written by William Wordsworth . In this poem poet describes human nature of reflecting the joyous experience will in gloom . The poet says that fascinating sight of daffodils has become part of his memory .Whenever he is sad or alone and have no activity , he lies on his bed to remove his sadness , he recalls the previous scene .The daffodils come in front of his eyes , daffodils start dancing and the poet become happy that his heart starts dancing with the daffodils .
THEME
We probably have moments in our life tat we recall or replay in our memory -images to which photograph or videos cannot do justice because they cannot capture feelings .In this poem William Wordsworth captures both images and feelings concerned to a special moment in his life . The poem is a tribute to nature and its manifestations in all its glory .It beautifully presents before us not only the attractive and exciting beauty of nature but also the purifying and enduring impact on human beings.
